For the 2024 iHeartRadio Podcast Awards, I played a key role in transforming a challenging event space into a visually captivating environment that aligned with the iHeartRadio brand. The venue presented several constraints: the existing blue carpet clashed with the brand’s color palette, and alterations to the walls and chandeliers were not permitted. To overcome these challenges, we proposed a creative lighting solution, using red lights in the chandeliers to shift the room’s tone, and strategically dimming the space to minimize the visibility of the mismatched carpet and ceiling. We introduced a striking red runway as the focal point, guiding award recipients as they accepted their honors. My responsibilities included developing a comprehensive SketchUp model to bring our vision to life and creating high-quality renders to effectively communicate the concept to iHeartRadio’s lead creative team. The final design not only met the client’s needs but also elevated the event’s atmosphere, ensuring a cohesive and memorable experience.
